Social Media Manager
Alex brings dedicated experience in community organizing, legislative analysis, and strategic communications both on Capitol Hill and in the nonprofit sector to his work with elected officials, congressional staff and nonprofit organizations at The Raben Group. Alex brings his passion for social justice to inform targeted outreach efforts with key decision makers, build strong relationships on and off the Hill, and identify systemic opportunities and challenges within the government and policymaking.
His primary areas of focus at Raben are message development, multimedia engagement, and campaign management. Alex has worked with the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce (USWCC) on their Congressional education efforts, grassroots organizing, and communications support for federal initiatives.
Alex is also a member of the core team for Green 2.0, a Raben Group-powered initiative dedicated to increasing racial diversity across environmental NGOs, foundations and government agencies. Alex helps lead Green 2.0’s message development, digital strategy, and coalition building.
Alex’s other clients include YouTube, The Aspen Institute, Prudential, Democracy in Color, MusicFirst, Georgetown’s Institute of Politics and Public Service, and Union Theological Seminary.
Prior to joining The Raben Group, Alex worked as a field organizer for Organize for America and Senator Tammy Baldwin’s (D-WI) senatorial campaign. He held legislative internships in the offices of Congressman Mark Pocan (D-WI) and Congresswoman Susan Davis (D-CA), and was a communications fellow at Stones’ Phones, a leading Democratic consulting firm based in Washington, D.C.
Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
